Virtual tours

Virtual tour

A virtual tour is when you look at a series of photos and or videos of an existing place it makes you feel as if you are at the place without actually leaving your house. There are many virtual tours that you can experience like the Smithsonian (my favourite) or you may even want to look at London’s landmarks. I like virtual tours because if you disabled and can’t move you can just take one of these tours, they also save you some big bucks that you might need in later life. In my opinion, I think virtual tours are an incredible idea yet there are some things I find that could go wrong e.g lagging of internet. However, in saying this virtual tours have a few highlights, like I said before virtual tours help you save money or if you’re unable to visit that place you can just take one. However you can’t really get a feel of the place and if you want to read a sign of the place you can’t see it whenever there is a highlight with the virtual tour there will usually be a lowlight. But in conclusion I think virtual tours are an amazing way to see the beautiful world in comfort of your own couch, they also show how much technology has really grown.

Orientation at TGC

Today the year 8 girls went to Girls College and I learnt a few things:

  1. That the pool that they have is really shallow at one side and a bit deep on the other side.
  2. There are 10 blocks named from a to m (excluding h, i and l.)
  3. The school is huge!!!
  4. There are 1400 students already there.
  5. If you're not in the top three classes you can get into them in year ten.
  6. Even though the school ends at 3:20 the busses come at 3:30.
  7. I will find out which tutor class I'm in on my first day of school.
  8. I will keep my deans for the five years I will be at college
  9. We wrote on a piece of paper.
  10. There swimming sports is fun and you don't need to take them seriously.
  11. Each teacher has a code name.
  12. Today proved 100000.99% that I will get lost on the first day of school.
  13. They talk about respect, participation and pride a lot
  14. I will start school on the 4th of February.
I am extremely excited about college and I can't wait to take on the amazing opportunities that I can do there.

Lorde and a tweet

We had to read this article about lorde and answer this question

Give your opinion on what happened here. Explain your opinion in full.

A former MP tweeted that it looked like lorde had epilepsy because of the way she danced on stage.

My advice for the new year sevens

My two years at tauranga intermediate is coming to an end. The new year sevens are soon coming into our school. Here is 20 tips for them.

  1. Never leave your friends from your primary school.
  2. Try to get into heaps of things that you are into.
  3. Always be humble (you are really lucky that you get to work with laptops so don't show off.)
  4. Wear your PE shorts under your skirt/shorts and roll them up so you don't have to worry about everyone seeing your undies.
  5. The drinking fountain outside room 29 squirts out water (use this as your weapon.)
  6. Stay on Mr Hearts good side at camp so you wont be shot with paintballs on the flying fox.
  7. Take in as much information as possible.
  8. Always have a good friend to turn to.
  9. Never get on Mr Divers bad side.
  10. Never put food in the recycling bin.
  11. Always be kind and if you have nothing good to say DON'T SAY IT.
  12. Try your best at everything, even if you don't want really want to do it.
  13. Always  be organised.
  14. Miss Campbell can and will help you if you have any trouble so just ask.
  15. Never bring a cellphone.
  16. Don't wear nail polish.
  17. Mr Ransly can check whatever sites you've been in.
  18. Have confidence.
  19. If things may seem wrong tell someone.
  20. Your tim at intermediate is preous so don't waste it.
