Enlargement
What 2 things do you always need to say to describe an enlargement? The scale factor and the centre of enlargement.
What does centre of enlargement mean? The postion of the enlarged shape is the centre of enlargement.
What is a scale factor? How many times you have to make a shape bigger or smaller.
Explain how to work out the scale factor on a grid, and with no grid. Use diagrams you have screenshot from the myimaths lesson.
What happens to the angle sizes in the corner of the shape when you enlarge it? When you enlarge a shape it gets bigger.
You will see that the shape on the right has gotten bigger. You want to see look at one of the sdies of the smaller shape. You can see that one of the smaller shapes side is two squares. 2x2=4 and you can see that the bigger shapes side is 4.

Rotational Symmetry
Lets say you have an ordinary rectangle. If you turn that rectangle 360 degrees you will see that it will fit into itself two times. (When it's upside down and before you turned it.) This is called Rotational Symmetry. The rectangle has Rotational Symmetry order of two because it can fit into itself twice. Other shapes can have a different order of Rotational Symmetry and some may not have it at all.
Rotational Symmetry is different to the Line of Symmetry. The Line of Symmetry is when you cut a shape in half and both sides look the same. You can check if a shape has Rotational Symmetry when cut it out, put a marking on one of the sides and turn it until you see that shape on another side of it.
Here are some real life Rotational Symmetry

Time zones
What is a time zone? A time is when a country has different times from another (there are 24 time zones)
Why do we have time zones? We have time zones so people don't get confused about what the time of day.
How are the time zones set? We set time zones on where the sun is. If the sun is over head then it will be 12Âșclock.
Which direction does the Earth rotate? The eartth turns anticlockwise.
How many time zones are there altogether? there are 24 time zones.
What are some of the time zones names? Central daylight time, Eastern daylight time
Which time zone is New Zealand part of? New Zealand standard time.
Name 2 other countries which are also in our time zone. Tonga,Samoa.
What is the international date line and why do we have it? The international date line is an inmagernary line that runs fron the north pole to the south pole (it is NOT the time meridian) it shows which country is in day time and which country is in night time.

Mode, Median, Mean and Range
Mode, Median, Mean and Range
(Mode, Median, Mean and Range)
Don't you think these words sound strange?
(Don't you think these words sound strange?)
I will get your mind to change
Mode mm Mode mmm
Is the number occurs that most most
Mode mm mode mm
Is the number that occurs the most most
Got a
1 2 2 3 3 3 4
(1 2 2 3 3 3 4)
Which of those numbers did I say more?
(Which of those numbers did say more?)
3 is the mode because it occurs the most

Now stop
lets stick into the middle
Got to find the median
No time for daddle diddle
line up all the number from the smallest to the biggest
and the one in the middle does the median jig
go median middle number
Now the third ones mean, not nice but mean
Its the average number if you know what I mean
Just add up all the numbers and divide them by the number of added
Whats that, whats mean?
You add up all the numbers and divide them by the number of added
Yeah you know what I mean
You add up all the numbers and divide them by the number of added
It's the average number, mean, its the average number
1 more round and the song is done
Lets talk about range and have some fun
It's the biggest number minus the smallest number, in the group, in the group
It's the biggest number minus the smallest number , in the group, in the group
You got Mode, Median, Mean and Range
