Another short story

Write a very short story (10ish lines). Remember your story must have a problem and a resoution.

A campfire, a scream, and a small lie that gets bigger and bigger.

I heard the scream coming from the inside of a cabin in front of me. I followed my instincts and went inside to find that Alex was screaming at a spider on her sleeping bag. "You really just made me come inside to see that on your bed." I said. I've got to agree with her that the spider was big and hairy but to be honest I wasn't scared. "I'm not scared of the spider I'm scared of the rat that ran away." she said, I really couldn't care about her lies though. So I just walked off. At our campfire campfire I told the group about the rat. "Alex and I saw a rat it was huge, it had golf ball eyes and a peanut shaped nose." A few of the kids shivered. Man they are weak. "It was the size of a basket ball, it had droll coming out of its mouth. It was scary." I saw Alexs' face glowing like the fire "And then Alex fainted!"

"I didn't see a rat it was a spider!" Alex said her face redder than a tomato.

END OF TERM 2

YAY it 's the end of term two so lets review of whats happened in this term.

My birthday:
This term I celebrated my 13th birthday, so I'm now officially A TEEN! Since my birthday was on a Monday, my family and I went to the adrenaline forest, this is a place where you do high ropes challenges for a day.  After we had that hard day of climbing we went out for dinner. I also haven't told you this but my birthday was on the day after Mothers day, so it was a celebration to me and my mum.

My presents I got from my family were:
A drawing kit
The Book Thief
CHOCOLATE
A bag
Money

STARS cards:
This term we introduced STARS cards and click cards. Again I haven't told you this but I got my red Rimu band. These bands have STARS written on them and my school TIS. I have been wearing my band around the school with my class mates. If you didn't see what click cards and STAR cards are click here.

Maths:
For my maths this term I have been learning so much, I have learnt how to make different graphs in statistics. Every 15 minutes of maths we do maintenance when we write a answer and check our answer. I believe that I have improved so much in maths but I need to keep my book tidy.

BOOKS
As you probably have figured out I am a massive book fan.  Right now I'm reading:
The Book Thief
The Final 13
Rangers Apprentice
Brother Band
The Fault In Our Stars

I love all of theses books soo much they are really thought provoking and can change lives.  I recommend all of these books to everyone.

Cross country
We did cross country last week and I got 85.  We were allowed to celebrate our house so I bought red paint and covered myself in it.  IT WAS AWESOME! Me and Christine ran really hard and I was exhausted after I did it.

long haired student at court

The principal of St John's college has suspended year 12 Lucan Battison, because he refused to cut his hair. The new Principal, Paul Melloy, called Lucan's hair 'boffy' and told him to cut it but Lucan refused to and has taken this issue to court.  The school rule states that hair must be over the collar and out of the eyes, but Lucan's hair is just over the collar.  Lucan won his case and will be attending St John's next month.  Although Lucan won his case Mr Melloy says that it could be "harmful and dangerous" to other pupils who thought this action was cool.
