- obesity. 1 in 3 adults are obese in New Zealand a further 34 percent are over weight. 1 in nine children are obese in New Zealand and 1 in five children are over weight.

- smoking. 1 in five adults currently smoke in New Zealand. But over a third of the New Zealand adults have never tried smoking.

- cancer. Every day around 51 people get cancer in New Zealand. 22 people die of cancer each day in New Zealand.

- exercise. 54 percent of adults exercise for more than 30 minutes on 5 or more days a week.

- languages. Around 6,057 people can communicate in all 3 of New Zealand's official languages. These are English, Maori and New Zealand sign language.
